  • Estes Rocket Motors D12-0 (Pk2) D-Es1565

    Description

The Estes D12-0 rocket motors, sold in packs of two and designated as part number D-Es1565, are powerful propulsion systems designed for model rocketry enthusiasts. Here's an overview of the key features and specifications of the Estes D12-0 rocket motors:

    Key Features:

Size and Configuration: The D12-0 rocket motors are designed to fit standard Estes model rockets and other compatible rocket kits. They offer a larger size and higher thrust compared to smaller motor classes, providing enhanced performance for heavier or larger rockets.

Thrust Profile: The "D12" designation indicates the motor's total impulse class. The "0" represents a booster stage configuration, meaning these motors are designed for use as booster engines in multi-stage rockets. They provide a high initial thrust to propel the rocket off the launch pad and into the air.

Propellant Type: The D12-0 motors use a solid propellant formulation, typically based on black powder or similar compositions. This propellant type offers reliable ignition and consistent thrust performance for model rocket flights.

Ease of Use: These rocket motors come pre-assembled and ready to use out of the box. Simply insert the motor into the rocket's booster stage motor mount and secure it according to the manufacturer's instructions. The motors are ignited using electric igniters (sold separately) and a launch controller.

Safety Precautions: As with all model rocketry activities, it's essential to follow safety guidelines and launch protocols provided by Estes and other relevant authorities. Ensure proper supervision, launch from a designated launch site, and take precautions to prevent injury or property damage.
